Minimal Industrial Chic

Swedish decoration style will never disappoint me! This is how I came upon this, as the title mentions, minimal industrial chic house in Falun, Sweden, owned by Susanne Gillerås and her family. The decoration is 'a mix of different eras, different styles, minimalism, straightness, simplicity and plenty of black and white', as Susanne describes in Residence magazine.

The furnishing of the house is a mix of pieces purchased from actions or vintage markets and Ikea furniture. The Tolix-style chairs in the dining area were directly imported from China, the little cabinet (above image) is from a garage sale, the coffee table is an old butcher's table while the spiral staircase is from an old church tower. The concrete deer head in the living room is called 'I'm in love with nature, my deer' by designer Lotta Rubom.
