Shabby chic country kitchen

When Sandra and Michael planned their kitchen renovation, they knew that they wanted a white country kitchen in shabby chic spirit with open shelves to exhibit Sandra's many fine flea market finds. The cabinets are from Ikea with custom made concrete worktops. The shelves consist of leftover floorboards from the 1800s. Sandra found the merchant counter at an antique dealer, the chairs in an old industrial building and wall cabinet in a barn.

Bohemian style loft in Madrid

It's said that some places reflect their owners personality and I'm pretty sure that this home is an accurate representation of the Spanish interior photographer Manolo Yllera. This surreal loft in Madrid is a mix of bohemian, industrial, shabby-chic and retro-vintage styles that make it truly one of a kind. The overall washed-white and light-grey colour palette makes an appropriate neutral environment for the pops of colour and the unique pieces of furniture and accessories. I really like the bizarre divider-art-installation-whatever in the living that looks like someone tore away part of a bathroom's wall and a bit of its floor, including the bathtub, and just left it in the centre of Manolo's loft. Brilliant!

Colourful shabby chic beach house

This beautiful two-storey beach house in Tybee island, Georgia, USA, is a charming mix of shabby chic style and bright vivid colours' details. Designed by Joel Snayd of Rethink Design Studio every single corner of the house has a special charm and a character. The soft white and light grey surfaces are decorated with details full of pastel or bright colours. Yellow, red, blue, pistachio, lime green and pale turquoise are some of the colours that make a statement with their presence on a chair or a table or a plate or a poster on a wall. The space is very beautiful with plenty of natural light; it looks quiet, clean, cosy and charming. 

Feminine shabby chic home in London

In the heart of London, the stylist Jo Willer and her husband turned an old house into a beautiful family apartment. The feminine décor mixes Scandinavian and British style. Indeed, the walls, floors, doors, fireplaces and a large number of furniture are white combined with recycled and vintage accessories, antique and rustic furniture and gorgeous textile with flowers patterns. Jo, a real bargain hunter, passionate with recycling has found real treasures in the flea markets of London, which has integrated into her beautiful home.

The window, old and faded, turns into a rustic cupboard. Just install selves and dividers to align with the window muntins. Add also a wooden back which can be painted in the same or different colour as the original window or can be covered with wallpaper!
