Well, hello future house! Here is a beautiful duplex apartment in the centre of Gothenburg, Sweden. Guess where I spotted it; at a Swedish real estate agency named Entrance. As I have mentioned hundreds of times before, this is how all scandinavian real estate agencies look like; the epitome of elegance and good taste. Great example of monochromatic decoration playing nicely with white, grey and black hues. Always a pleasant visually surprise seeing plants and greenery in that kind of decoration. I think is a great daily source of domestic relaxation.

Monday Swedish-inspired home bliss

I can't even describe how much I admire this Swedish apartment. You all know that I am a white-washed-walls/dark-floors/scandi-styled lover! This place is an eyecandy: black-painted shiny wooden floors, beautiful ornate cornicing, minimal Scandinavian furnishing, vintage finds combined with designer pieces, art on the walls and, of course, a little bit of nature presence.

Can I move in right now, please....?

Sunday Danish - style inspiration

Today I'm posting some amazing shots from stylist's, Nathalie Schwer, home, captured by the interior photographer Line Klein for Elle Decoration DK. Except all the inspirational details and my favourite pale white/greyish colour-palette, what really captivated me was the very first picture of this post. As an architect and designer I use to perceive my environment and images around me based on composition, colour scheme and contrast criteria. The right balance of these elements can make a great photo, and according to my opinion this is definitely one of them. I just think that the combo of the neutral background, the mid-century furniture, the fabrics' texture and the beautiful minimal watercolour poster creates a worth-starring image; simple and stylish.

A Scandinavian apartment with personality

Here's an apartment that I like to call 'with personality'. And when I'm referring to personality I'm talking about making a space completely yours; an extension of yourself and your own lifestyle. I often see houses filled with designers furniture and branded decorative items but there's always something missing. On the other hand this apartment, for example, is filed with vintage treasures and decorated with love and style! Look at this beautiful photo-collage-wall-art over the dining table. Look at the stacks of books and magazines. Look at the raw unpainted puttied wall in the bedroom. They are all part of the owner's personal taste. I never understood, though, why all the Scandinavian houses have at least one hanging deer horn!

A country Swedish family house

In white we trust! White is the ultimate colour to create the best canvas for a scandi-inspired house. In this case, Ida Olofsgård, the owner of the interior design store Sockerklaras in Sävsjö, Sweden, and her husband, Kristoffer renovated their 1800-built timber-frame farmhouse by painting all the interiors pure white. Rustic wood details, leather, vintage and shabby-chic furniture, beige and grey linen are just some of the features that make this house looks so fresh, friendly and charming. Love the entrance-porch with the hammock.

Apartment for sale

This is what all real estate agencies' properties should look like. I mean, look at these pictures. It's like a photoshoot for a decoration magazine but they're actually photos from Swedish Alexander White property agency. Cosy and modern, with Scandinavian atmosphere, it could be the house of you dreams and it can be yours because this apartment is currently for sale. I just hope all the decoration is included in the price. I like the whole scandi - minimal style but instantly I fell in love with the very stylish osb wooden countertop/dinning table.
