Danish inspiration

Today's inspiration comes from Denmark where there's this traditional, externally at least, house.  Internally, the Danish sun light is reflected on the white surfaces of the walls, ceilings and pale raw wood flooring and wall covering, creating a modern minimalistic atmosphere. The rather larger-than-the-natural-size chess and the oversized letter-sculpture give a theatrical touch to the living room. However the element that stands out is the preserved herringbone-style brick floor in the kitchen.

Nordic summer inspiration

A beautiful collection of images inspired by the colours of sea, sky and sand. The entire colour palette of blue is combined with white, beige and the warmth of wood creating a summer house's atmosphere. All these gorgeous ideas are coming from the site of Bemz,  a company that offers new look for IKEA's sofas and chairs creating custom designed covers and pillows. A drop of inspiration because a mini renovation will refresh our homes and ourselves!

Romantic Inspiration...from Sweden!

I saw these cute photos in several blogs the last few days, which remind me of minimal french romantic boudoir style! The most interesting, though, is that they are from IKEA's wonderful blog Livet Hemma, for which I had written in the past (to read that post press here)! It took me a while to understand that indeed this is IKEA furniture but you can see that they can intelligently combined to give such aesthetic results! Feel free to be inspired!
